Registered with the Compensation Fund, all Injury on Duty claims are managed by our Operational Team from administration to the transportation.

Placed Staff wear Transman Corporate Livery and are issued with the required safety wear according to the OHSA Act.

Provides our clients with a unique self-service Business Intelligence dashboard and reporting tool.

MIE Background Screening

Background screening is conducted on all recruited Placed Staff before they are registered and included on our data base.

TLC Children’s Home in the south of Johannesburg was established by the Jarvis family in the early 1990’s to meet the serious need for quality childcare for abandoned children in South Africa.

The Children of Fire cares for young survivors of burn injuries. These children have either been accidentally burned by fire, chemicals, electricity, hot liquids or deliberately burned by family members or members of their community. The organisation seeks medical assistance to help the children recover from their burns and spends a significant amount of time educating communities on both prevention and cure from fire disasters.

Knit a Blanket for the Homeless
This is one of the most popular and favourite Social Responsibility projects at Transman. Before the winter season, staff have received a yarn of wool and knitting needles or crochet needles each. The objective is to knit a square 30 cm x 30 cm and with enough squares, the Transman Superheroes sew them all together into a warm and comfortable blanket.

Transman employees have the opportunity and are encouraged to participate in all Social Responsibility Projects. The Charity Box initiative allows any person to donate items such as food, clothing, toys, books, stationery etc. and depending on what has been donated, this will be matched with a non-profit organisation that needs those particular items. Everything is collected by the Transman Team who personally deliver the donations in the disadvantaged areas.

Transman provides financial support to the Parkview Community Policing Forum in Johannesburg. Parkview Community Policing Forum (CPF) serves the purpose to promote closer ties between the surrounding community.

In 2011, The Department of Education approached Transman looking for assistance to make a positive difference in secondary education, mainly focussing on two schools identified as needing the most attention. Transman thus formed what is now a special long term relationship with Boitshepo Catholic School based in Hamanskraal and Lethabong Secondary School in Soshanguve.

Rofhiwa Maemu, once employed as a Security Guard for Transman, concealed a hidden talent so remarkable that it was disheartening to find out he had to give up his dream to become a professional South African Boxer. Due to financial reasons, he could no longer continue his journey to reach his dream. Transman’s CEO, Angela Dick, is renowned for her open door policy and wanting to get to know each and every Transman employee. Through a casual chat with Rofhiwa, she found out that he ranked seventh in the featherweight boxing division in South Africa at the time.

The We Care Foundation cares for approximately 500 deprived pensioners from Betrams, Park Cottages, Gerald Fitzpatrick, De Wetshof Old Aged Pensioners Cottages, Bez Valley and Jeppe Pensioners. For their annual Christmas party, Transman sponsors the confectionery as part of their treat.

Angela is the visionary and brain behind Transman.  She founded Transman in 1983, and is responsible for placing over 3 million South African citizens into Commerce and Industry nationally since inception. Angela runs Transman with an open door policy, and has developed a solid Executive Team, together with a strong infrastructure to ensure Transman performs to expectation. Angela is dedicated to helping improve the economic stability of South Africa and the well-being of all its people.

Basil is responsible for the day-to-day administration and operations of the business. His focus is to determine the specific needs to carry out and execute Transman’s business plans as well as establishing initiatives to expand Transman’s services and development. Given his extensive background in the financial environment, Basil is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company including tracking cash flow and financial planning. He is the safeguard of Transman’s prosperity and ensures that our operations are constantly running smoothly and efficiently.

Melanie is responsible for the total Transman Sales mix. This includes Key Accounts, New Sales, Business Development, Technical Sales, Functional Outsourcing, Permanent and Professional Staffing placements. Her team seek opportunities to enhance Transman’s service offerings to continuously meet the Client’s specific needs in the typical complex and changing environment of our industry. Her portfolio supports existing Clients by ensuring exceptional service delivery that will realise Transman’s motto “a Client for life’ , as well as to bring on new Clients with her experienced Sales team and solution driven Sales Managers. 16 Years with Transman is testament to her success.

Executive: Compliance and Industrial Relations

The ongoing commitment to uphold the highest ethical, legal and professional standards by providing direction, oversight and guidance to Transman and our Clients, is the deeply significant role Quintus plays. The Compliance Division ensures that Transman is compliant with all Labour legislation including the LRA, the BCEA and all relevant Bargaining Councils and Sectoral Determinations associated with our Clients. Quintus ensures that Transman upholds  the rules and subscribes to best practices within those industries no matter how complex. He also ensures that our Management Information System (MIS) is updated timeously according to changing legislation. He serves on the Executive Council of the SA Engineers Founders Association within the Metal Engineering Industries Bargaining Council.

Executive: Human Resources & Development

As Transman’s in-house attorney, Lesley-Ann deals with human resources, and legal matters. Together with her qualified team, Lesley-Ann is responsible for human resource management, dispute resolution and discipline in the workplace.  Lesley-Ann also vets contracts such as service level agreements, and health and safety agreements.  She is the Vice Chairperson of the Constructional Engineering Association Labour Broking Division (CEA LBD), and assisted in the drafting of the accreditation process for members of the CEA LBD.  She was also involved in the drafting of the contracts of employment for placed staff, and the pro forma Service Level Agreement for the Industry, which appears on the SEIFSA website. Her other responsibilities include representing on Transman’s Training and Employment Equity Committee.

Having 14 years’ experience at Transman, Clive’s portfolio encompasses operations for all the branches, recruitment, fleet management, health and safety and PPE.

His focus is to consistently deliver unbeatable Stakeholder delivery service levels to our Clients and our Placed staff.

He is responsible for improving efficiencies at our Clients’ premises and is involved in all aspects of operational risk management. In addition to the operations portfolio, Clive is responsible for enhancing our current service offering by consistently identifying leading edge recruitment solutions to a wide range of sectors, commerce and industry. His team encompasses efficient resourcing ensuring clear prerequisites of the positions are in place, then successfully matching the skill levels of the candidates thus increasing motivation, productivity and retention.

Having an extensive background in the training environment, Benedicta leads the development and implementation of Transman’s training strategy. She is a qualified Skills Development Facilitator, former Gauteng Chairperson of the Association for Skills Development Facilitators in SA (ASDSA), former Education Chair for the APSO Council, Member of the Institute of People Management (IPM) and currently serves in the BUSA Sub-committee on Education and Training, and chairs our Training and EE Committee. She’s passionate about people development and her focus is sharply on developing the skills of our people in order to find them useful employment and develop their potential into new and exciting areas , thus making a secure financial future for themselves and their families.

She is also responsible for the implementation of Corporate Social Investment and Enterprise Development, which typically Transman embraces as a high priority.
